Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council

In response to the Senate Bill 1760 (1996), which allocated $50 million in grant funds to Probation Departments statewide to reduce the threat of juvenile crime and delinquency, the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council was established by the Board of Supervisors as a standing subcommittee of the CCJCC to oversee funds distributed in Los Angeles County.

The Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council is chaired by the Chief Probation Officer and reports semi-annually to CCJCC regarding the allocation and use of funds received.
